Our mission is to help people become mature followers of Jesus Christ. We think this looks like growing in the gospel in word, spirit, and deed. We are gospel-centred with a great heart for mission, both global and local.

We seek to model the love of Jesus in all we do and we hope you find authentic Christian community here.

St Alfred's is an Evangelical Anglican church and is therefore governed by the Bible and the 39 Articles (an Anglican statement of belief). We believe the creeds, meaning we are orthodox and Trinitarian in our beliefs. You can read more about our beliefs here.

Every Sunday, we gather to worship God through Bible-based teaching, prayer, singing, and we share Communion together every 2-3 weeks. Our services usually run for about 70-90 minutes. Click here to watch our most recent live-streamed services.

We have a team of staff and volunteers who serve in ministries with children, youth, and families. We are committed to facilitating safe ministry for everyone (view our Safe Ministry Policy here). We have a creché room adjacent to our auditorium for parents and young children who wish to retreat from the main service.

During our 10am Sunday service, we offer programs from preschool to year 8 during school terms. We typically start the service all together, then we pray for the children and youth as they head out for their programs. During school holidays, we all worship together for the whole service.

Our evening 6pm Sunday service is attended by many high school-aged youth and young adults, who stay in for the whole service.

St Alfred's is a pretty casual church, so don't feel like you have to dress up. Most people wear casual clothes, as if they were visitng some friends in their home or café, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

Yes! Our whole facility is on one level and is designed to be as accessible as possible, including an accesible toilet. We have regular attendees at our services who use wheelchairs.

We know that for many, coming to church on a Sunday is a new experience, and we'd love for you to join us! No matter where you're at in life or on your spiritual path, we're here to support you.

Don't worry about fitting in, your age, knowing your way around, feeling "religious" enough, or how much you know about faith, or your cultural background. We're a friendly, relaxed community that welcomes everyone just as they are.

We don't claim to be perfect and we all make mistakes, but we absolutely do not excuse or tolerate spiritual, sexual, or emotional abuse within the Church. Our commitment is to provide a life-giving, relevant, and safe environment for everyone. We are confident that there is a place at St Alfred's for you.

At St Alfred's, you'll notice that lots of us wear name tags. It's one way we make it easy to connect with one another, and for you to connect with us. If you would like us to make a name tag for you, click here and fill out our Connect Form!
