StAKs (St Alfred’s Kids) is an age-appropriate program for children in pre-school, primary and early high school that runs during the Sundays at 10am service during the school term. Sessions include elements of Bible study and teaching, prayer, and group activities such as games, craft and a memory verse. In all groups, we hope children see St Alfred's as a place they are cared for and valued.
StAKs is made up of the following groups:
Mini StAKs (for babies up to children in 3yo kinder)
Little StAKs (for children in 4yo kinder to Grade 2)
Big StAKs (for children in Grades 3 to 5)
StAKs On (for children in Grade 6 to Year 8)
StAKs is overseen by Louisa Pfitzner, our Children and Families Minister, and Naomi Allen, assistant Children and Families Minister. All leaders of this program have completed all their safe ministry requirements: including screening, checks and training. You can read our Safe Ministry Policy by clicking the button at the top of this page.
What to expect:
During the school term, children begin in the auditorium with their parents for the first part of the service, then head out for their StAKs program before the sermon. While parents do need to register their children for the program, this can be done on the day by speaking to one of the relevant staff or StAKs leaders.
There is creche available where toddlers and babies can be supervised by their parents.
During school holidays we all worship together for the whole service.
