The life of faith begins with believing in and coming to Jesus with trust that he is the only way to life with God. Jesus invites us to come and follow him (Mark 1:17), and to come to him for true spiritual rest (Matthew 11:28–30).
Having come to Jesus in faith, God calls us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” to God’s eternal glory (2 Peter 3:18). We grow as disciples of Jesus by reading and obeying God’s Word, becoming more like Jesus in our thoughts and actions, and loving God with our whole selves (Mark 12:30). We help people grow through faithful Bible teaching that helps us live out the gospel; participating in a Growth Group for encouragement and serving together; learning to pray; gathering to worship together; and discovering and learning to use our spiritual gifts to build up the church and to serve our local community.
We go for Jesus to our neighbours and the nations, in fulfilment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20). We go as ambassadors for Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17-20) loving and serving the Lord in our everyday lives. Our goal is that those outside the church community will experience the truth, beauty, goodness and justice of Jesus through our actions and words.
