We are a multi-generational congregation with a strong young adult cohort. We love to sing, and having a deep regard for Anglican tradition. We’re strongly evangelical, sacramental, charismatic, practicing social justice, dabbling in the contemplative, committed to prayer, practicing the spiritual disciplines- including the discipline of community and celebration, supporting outreach and missionaries. We're vibrant, lively, welcoming.
Join us for dinner after the service at our monthly dinner nights (on first Sundays of the month) and also at Lu Yangs, Box Hill on other weeks.
Our sermons range between systematically going through books of the Bible and looking at topical issues (e.g. modern-day evangelism, work etc). We have a thriving Growth Groups ministry and actively seek to foster one-to-one mentoring relationships.
Even though 6pm isn’t a great time for kids, bring them along! We love having kids with us. There is a crèche room for parents to supervise and care for young children if needed.
I really value the people here that encourage and build me up in Christ and challenge me to be more like him, particularly in Growth Groups. I really value how I hear God’s word, how it applies to my life and challenges me about how I should be living for God.
I value the friendships of people my age facing the same challenges that I do at Uni and the supportive community of other Christians. I feel supported in my faith through hard times. I love the times of worship through music (a big part for me of how I experience God).
I think that there is space for communal engagement but also for individual expression and exploration of faith. I’ve been involved in a number of ministries within Sundays at 6pm and they’ve helped me put my faith into action. I really appreciate the positive care that comes through the ministers and through other senior members of the congregation.
