Role: Assistant Minister, Sundays at 6pm
Background: Master of Divinity & Graduate Diploma of Divinity from Ridley College.
Passionate about: Teaching the bible and seeing people read, understand and apply God’s word for themselves; through this, I love seeing people grow in their love for Jesus.
Hobbies: I enjoy hiking and running in the outdoors, following the international tennis scene and spending time with friends and family.
I am very grateful to God for the fact that I grew up in a Christian family, with faithful Christian parents. Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I regularly attended church at St Alfred’s and never doubted that there was a God who loved me and died for my sins. By the time I reached university age, I realised my inadequacy before God to live up to his standards and my need for Jesus to be my saviour and Lord, through his defeat of death on the cross. I began to engage intentionally with Sunday sermons at church, realising that God’s word, by his Spirit, filled me with a deep sense of purpose, contentment and joy. Throughout my undergraduate degree I became increasingly involved in Christian ministry and developed a passion for God’s word and for sharing my hope in Jesus, as I was given the opportunity to learn from others and use the gifts that God had given me. After completing my undergraduate degree in teaching, I felt called by God to complete a degree in theology, in order to prepare myself for full-time ministry and to become better equipped to share my faith with others and to help Christians think biblically about their place in the world under God.
My role here at St Alfred’s includes Bible teaching, training, mentoring, evangelism and equipping others to do the same.
