In John 15:8, Jesus calls all of us to ‘Abide in me, and I in you’—to dwell with Jesus through his Spirit in us; to remain in his loving, transforming presence.
Held throughout the year at St Alfred's, Abide gatherings offer varied opportunities to ‘abide’—that is—to dwell with Jesus, to remain in his presence, as we seek to grow deeper and bear fruit both in our lives and as a church.
Each gathering is slightly different, but each include elements of prayer, praise, worship, and ways to respond. Our longing is that these gatherings will be a wonderful way for us all to encounter the heart of God and respond to him in various ways that we can’t always fit into our regular Sunday services.
