Bible Text: 1 Peter 3:1-12 |

Series:

| 1 Peter 3:1-12 | Peter MacPherson |

We have been reading through the New Testament letter of 1 Peter in our Sunday services. The Apostle Peter is very concerned about Christian relationships and especially how Christians respond to people in authority. Today we come to the passage where Peter talks about relationships in the family and in the church. How Christians live as husbands and wives and as church communities will actually reflect to others something about the God we believe in and may even help them come to faith themselves.

The starting point of Peter’s thinking is back in 1 Peter 2:11-12 where he says “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.” This is what wives, husbands and church members must do in their respective ways.
