Helen’s Story

I have been a member of St Alfred’s all my life. I made a decision to follow Jesus when I was 7 years of age.

We were at a Passover Meal at church & we watched the movie “Jesus of Nazareth” & this was the first time it became real to me what Jesus did for me on the cross.

It just so happened that I also began learning the piano at the same age. So my faith and my ability to make music have been intertwined for as long as I can remember.

God has continued to grow and shape me over the many years of attending St Alfred’s and I have been blessed to be a part of a faith community that love God and seek to live out the calling He has placed on our lives, both individually and corporately in our local community.

I see my role at St Alfred’s as one that I have been growing in for most of my life – using music and the creative arts to help people worship our Creator God. It’s a great thing to use the gifts God has given me in music to worship Him and to help others do the same, no matter their age or stage in life.
